Our Services

Casement, Sliding Sash, easy clean, energy efficient, open in or out, Georgian bar or plain, coloured, textured, modern or classic all internally beaded for security – TWG has a uPVC window to suit your home.

TWG now fit as standard Edgetech Super Spacer® into our double glazed window units. Traditionally windows used a highly conductive metal spacer bar to hold the two panes of glass apart, causing heat loss around the edge of the frame. Super Spacer® is a non-metallic, non-conductive, pre-desiccated, structural foam spacer system which provides excellent perimeter insulation for sealed glazing units. TWG firmly believe by fitting Super Spacer® our customers will benefit from lower home heating costs with less wasted heat coupled with a small reduced noise transfer by up to 2 decibels.

easy clean hinges diagramAdvances in PVCu technology now mean casement windows can be seamlessly sealed and developed to achieve “A” Rated window energy ratings, ensuring your home retains heat while adding value to the property allowing you to personalize your casement window in a variety of colour finish options that are guaranteed for 10 years as standard.

Easy Clean Hinges

It is also worth noting that many of our designs are able to use an easy clean hinge system giving you quick and easy access to the outer pane for cleaning, a far simpler, cheaper and more reliable system than tilt and turn windows.

Casement Windows

Virtually maintenance free, great for noise reduction, extremely secure and represent great long lasting value for the home.
TWG can offer you the option on casement windows fitted with a flying mullion – the central bar that enables a double window unit to fully open, originally introduced as a fire escape but now popular as when open gives a clear and unobstructed view of the outside. When closed will resemble a standard casement window and matching the rest of the property.

Vertical Sliding Sash/Victorian Sliders

Combining the classic good looks of traditional sash windows with the modern benefits of PVCu double glazing. Featuring fully sculptured profiles that perform extremely well and with a choice of Colour finish, woodgrain foils, sash horn, travel restrictors and Georgian or Astragal bar options.

Cottage Style

Suitable for both older buildings and modern houses, the main feature of these windows is the use of a Georgian bar inserted into the double glazed unit to create the appearance of a horizontal glazing bar. Cottage Style windows can be supplied in various colours including Cream or Chartwell Green. Headers can be straight or curved.

Bay and Bow Window Conversions

Complete with frame adapters, welded shaped cill and bay-poles. If converting from a flat window, the bay roof and internal window board will need to be constructed from suitable materials or alternatively, we can supply a purpose made canopy and/or base.

Shaped and Curved Windows

Twg can supply shaped PVCu double glazed windows i.e. Circles, angled, triangular, arched with and without openers. These frames can be used where architectural features are required. We would normally require a template or plans and measurements to be supplied before manufacturing can be started on shaped units.

Horizontal Sliding Secondary GlazingSecondary Glazing

TWG offer a solution to period homes where due to restrictions or conservation reasons you may be prevented from installing conventional double glazed windows. Secondary Glazing provides an effective barrier to the elements, whilst complimenting your existing windows and doors.

Lift Outs

Economic and effective, ideal where only limited access is required to the primary window such as windows that are solely for decorative purposes.

Hinged Units

A simple yet effective system with no transoms to spoil the sightlines but giving thermal insulation and noise reduction to benefit both living and working environments.

Horizontal Sliders

Available in 2, 3 or 4 panelled versions and fitted with rollers to enable a smooth sliding action, brush seals provide effective draught proofing and greater thermal insulation. This type of Secondary Glazing is ideal where frequent access is required to the primary window.

Vertical Sliders

for older/listed properties where the design needs to be sympathetic to the character of the property.

Looking to make the most of cost-effective home improvements?
Choose a uPVC Conservatory – modern uPVC offers more benefits than ever before.

  • Meets tight budget demands
  • Easy to clean
  • Energy efficient
  • Simple or stylish
  • Suited to all properties

The Victorian
Probably the most popular style of a bespoke uPVC conservatory, distinguished by the traditional front elevation, comprising of 3 or 5 facets and the use of ornate detailing along the centre of the roof. The Victorian can be adapted to suit whatever space is available whether it is a large garden or small patio area without overshadowing its surroundings.

The Edwardian
The Edwardian or Georgian is a conservatory installation that makes the most of the available floor space with a square or rectangular footprint. Probably the most popular style that is so easy to live with, add a set of bi-folding doors or a glass roof for a conservatory to be proud of.

The Georgian width is always significantly more than the projection and a Georgian style may be referred to as the ‘hipped back Edwardian’.

Gable End
With front elevation windows extending to meet the roof apex the Gable End conservatory maximises the feeling of light and space, perfect for bespoke uPVC extensions.

A structural tie bar is an integral part of this roof design to give extra lateral support. TWG also offer this style in a ‘hipped’ or sloping roof with guttering between the home and conservatory.

Sunrooms/Lean to
A Sunroom (otherwise known as Lean to) conservatory can be the ideal choice for bungalows or homes where there may be a height restriction and a conservatory fitted with a low pitch roof is required.

Whilst simplicity is the key to a Lean to conservatory, versatility and adaptability are its strong points.

Combination Conservatories
Using a combination of one or two or more different conservatory styles will give you high design flexibility. For example, a ‘P’ shaped uPVC conservatory using a combination of a Victorian and a Lean-to offers you two distinct areas, one which could be used for dining whilst the other relaxing or a children’s play area. A conservatory style that can be adapted to awkward corners or difficult locations, the combination conservatory has it covered.

Glass Splashbacks

With a smooth surface that will not allow mold, fungi or bacteria to take hold, unlike tiles where they can breed on the grout, our glass splashbacks will just need a quick wipe with a damp cloth to keep clean. Ideal for the kitchen especially around the cooker or hob area where a simple wash with warm water and some washing up liquid will remove most grease or fat splashes leaving your glass splashbacks like new.

Add a touch of Glass with our Kitchen Glass Splashbacks – Modern kitchen design incorporates high gloss finishes on both work surfaces and in kitchen cupboards and now this clean bright look can be added to walls with back painted glass. Used around the cooker or hob in order to catch fat splashes and of course around the sink area Glass Splashbacks are a modern, stylish and stunning alternative to tiles, stainless steel or granite and with an easy-to-clean surface.

Our glass splashbacks are manufactured from 6mm toughened safety glass and we go to great lengths to make sure your glass splashback will be a perfect fit. Where electrical sockets, etc are present we will create a template to ensure all cut-outs are situated correctly enabling the splashback to fit right first time as the glass cannot be altered or trimmed once formed.
If possible we always recommend glass splashbacks are fitted prior to any units, cupboards and internal window cills. This will reduce the amount of corners and cut-outs saving production costs and easier installation which in turn reduces the cost to you the customer.

When installing the glass TWG use a specially manufactured sealant which will not attack the paint, ensuring your coloured glass splashbacks will look as new for years to come.

Even Your Bathroom and Living Areas …
Painted glass products need not be limited to your kitchen. All areas of your home can benefit from a modern, bright, hygienic glass splashback. Whether it be bathrooms and wet areas, around the wash basin and along the wall by the bath, around the shower unit or being used as a decorative design feature for modern living or work spaces – Coloured Glass Splashbacks offer a stunning, bright and luxurious solution.

Bi-folding Doors

A once ordinary room can easily be transformed into an inviting, airy room or a featureless lounge becomes an open gateway to your garden and beyond offering an outdoor setting for entertaining guests. Whole walls can be swept aside with ease opening up the outside of your home making the best of the summer weather. During winter enjoy uninterrupted views of your garden from the warmth and comfort of your favourite armchair or sofa and our Bifold doors also give you the choice to open all or just part of the set, giving you complete flexibility.

Bifolding doors allow you to create a 90% clear opening which will transform your living space, making folding doors a fantastic alternative to traditional French or patio doors which only offer a 40% clear opening. All our patio doors come with optional Part M compliant easy access low threshold option, ideal for wheelchair users and family homes as they create less of a trip hazard and make an easy access ramp for wheelchair users and pushchairs.
Once we know a little about your installation requirements our sales team can advise and discuss with you the options available, which product and style would be most suitable for both you and your home such as colour of the internal side matching your home decor whilst the outside matches the rest of your home.

Bifold doors manufactured by the True Window and Glass Centre are available fitted with a range of modern glass finishes including our ‘Smart Warmer’ energy efficient glass units. TWG Aluminium Bi folding doors are available in various configurations custom made to your design and requirements and are available in a range of RAL colours.

TWG can replace your existing doors or remove existing windows and doors to form a new opening – including brickwork removal, new lintels, re-plastering, etc.

Composite doors

The Appearance of Wood – Without the Hassle

From traditional to contemporary designs with the aesthetic appeal of timber but without the disadvantages. Choose from 30 styles of composite doors, choose the colour, choose the glazing, choose the hardware, choose a made-to-measure composite door finished and installed by TWG to your personal specification.

The combination of construction materials makes our composite doors high resistance to weathering, warping, twisting or cracking. This is thanks to the addition of the GRP material (Glass Reinforced Plastic), which has a grained surface and also makes the composite door resistant to damage. This extra durability means that your composite door will never have to be painted and is therefore not prone to discolouration – and apart from the occasional wipe with a damp cloth, a composite door will require very little maintenance on your part.

TWG supply and fit composite doors for the front or back of a home along with composite barn style doors for the more traditional cottage or farm style houses. You can view the full range of composite doors – Traditional, Cottage, Contemporary and Harmony further down this web page as well as hardware and accessories. Just use the left /right scroll bar on each section. We can also supply a range of Composite Fire Doors (not shown) providing solutions for the majority of fire door situations required by house-builders and refurbishment projects.

uPVC doors

There are many factors to consider when choosing a uPVC door for your home or business, one of the many reasons for replacing your existing doors with a uPVC door is the excellent safety and security features offered by the very latest advanced door systems.

TWG can offer advice on the technical aspects of the type door, door frame, locking, and installation.

Early uPVC door frames offered very little in the way of resistance to potential burglars, with poor locking systems, external beads and frames without reinforcement. Thankfully things have moved on and True Window and Glass Centre would suggest that your new uPVC door should have the following:

• At least 70 mm frames (the thickness back to front) that add improved stability and strength to a uPVC door.

• Internally glazed doors (sealed units installed into the frames from inside rather than outside) so that the glass is more difficult to remove from outside, without breaking it.

• Multi-point, shoot bolt and hook bolt locking systems to deter or severely delay entry by a burglar. Euro cylinder locks should be anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-drill certified. TWG recommend fitting at least a 3 star Kite marked Euro Cylinder lock to provide true resistance to snapping.

• Doors should be fixed into the house walls with proper screw fixings, not just fixing foam, otherwise, the whole frame could simply be cut away from the surrounding brickwork.

• Door panels should be reinforced to prevent forced entry, Twg use reinforced panels as standard.
